Biography

Frieder R. Lang is chair of psycholoy and gerontology, and director of the Institute of Psychogerontology at the Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU). Prof. Lang received his Ph.D. in 1993 from the Free University of Berlin and the Max-Planck-Institute for Human Development in Berlin. He is currently Editor-in-Chief of "GeroPsych - The Journal of Gerontopsychology and Geriatric Psychiatry, and serves as Editorial Board Member for several journals in the field (e.g., Psychology and Aging, European Journal of Ageing). Frieder R. Lang has published more than 120 articles and several monographs. His major research areas are health behavior and healthy aging, future cognition, social relationships, and gerotechnology.
